Artist Statement

I am an abstract, non-representational painter working at the intersection of intuition and color. My paintings are informed by a wide spectrum of experience, from fragments of debris found on New York streets to fleeting moments encountered in nature. These influences merge on the canvas as quiet, deliberate compositions.

Color is both the subject and the structure of my work. Through accumulated marks-dots, linear gestures, and expansive fields-I layer paint to create depth and resonance. What may first appear restrained or nearly monochromatic gradually opens into a richer chromatic presence, revealing subtle shifts and unexpected relationships. Each painting is an ongoing exploration of color's infinite and ever-changing possibilities.
