I have a great appreciation for the overlooked and under appreciated, whether it be in nature or right off the curb on a city street. A favorite pastime is photographing the multiple layers of decaying subway posters. The connection to my actual painting is the simple yet complex compositions.

My work is considered non-representational, abstract painting. My paintings center on the possibilities of color. I have explored various types of mark making, but my language often returns to the use of dots. These dots may appear to drift freely across the canvas or coalesce into sharp, graphic formations.

The dot is more than a mark; it’s a method of transformation. Each layer builds upon the last, often concealing what came before, yet contributing to the depth and complexity of the final piece. This layering process allows color to interact in unexpected and captivating ways.
